Global Studies
All the work in the following projects comes from the 2011-2012 school year humanities class. During this year the major projects were the Diwali project and the Middle East project.
The Diwali project was centered around a celebration of learning event in which all the students of humanities chose an area of study relating to India, and prepared a project to be presented at the Diwali event, to which both parents and community members were invited. I worked with a partner studying art, language and religion in India, and together we prepared two rangoli designs to embellish the event. The work we did in this project can be seen on the Diwaili Project page.
For the Middle East project I worked intensively on writing to complete a story of a greater length than I might normally have done for a school project. During the semester our class focused on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and I made that the theme of my story. Writing from this semester is available on the Middle East Project page.
